We have regular members, of all ages, and others who are more loosely associated with St James, for example through having children in our lively scouting and guiding organisations. As well as meeting together in our Church Services, we have many social functions together including quiz nights, music concerts and bring and share lunches.
Many of us live in the parish, which is roughly bounded by Riddlesdown Road, the near edge of Riddlesdown Common, the railway line and Warren Road. We also welcome people from the surrounding area.
As well as the Church affiliated Uniform Organisations we have an active branch of Mothers' Union, a lively group of Parents and Toddlers and other groups.
Our Priest-in-Charge is Father Grant Cohen and you can contact him here. Grant is assissted by Rev Dawn Turner who has retired from ministry, but sometimes takes services at St. James'. We have two SPAs (Southwark Parish Auxiliaries), Jane Hoskins and Barbara Walker. To find out more about the Clergy and SPAs' click here
Our Church Wardens, Jeremy Gotts and Steve Tarvin are helped by a rota of Deputy Church Wardens. The Parochial Church Council is the elected body that helps to administer the business of the Church. To find out more about the PCC click here
Many members of our church family are active in the local community, giving threir time and talents freely to help others. You can find out about some of the activities our members volunteer for here.
