URGENT APPEAL FROM PURLEY FOOD HUB

URGENT APPEAL FROM PURLEY FOOD HUB

After the busiest ever August at the Food Hub with 2,300 meals provided to people in crisis - and close to 20,000 meals this year so far - our stock controller Louise Willmer reports worryingly that our food stocks have never been as low as they are now.

Therefore, as we move into autumn and the build-up to Christmas, we would earnestly ask please that you bring this situation to the attention of your church members and enlist their increased help as we seek to replenish the Food Hub’s shelves.

In September we urgently need extra donations of long life whole milk, small bags of sugar, strawberry and raspberry jam, tinned ready meals, tins of red kidney beans, jars of pasta sauce and packet soup.
